Panda - One Time Password System
Overview
Panda is a one time password system that uses Palm OS handhelds to calculate
challenge / response authentication answers for entry into a virtual private
network (VPN). Traditional one time password systems rely on expensive
dedicated hardware to compute challenge / response answers. Panda uses the
Palm OS handheld you already carry.
Panda is a complete system consisting of components for a Linux VPN server,
Windows VPN client, and Palm OS challenge / response calculator. Panda is
designed in a flexible manner and can be adapted to various VPN and one time
password systems. The software components within Panda are free and open
source.
Download
The Panda distribution contains both source and binary components. It will be
necessary to build some pieces of the Linux VPN server and thus it is
recommended that you thoroughly read the provided instructions.
The current distribution is
panda-1.0-08-20-2003.zip.
